Lisa and I are tourists in Sydney 16 -17 September 2006

One of the best things about going to work for MWH in their Sydney office is that my good pal (and surf buddy) Lisa is spending a lot of time working there too between now and Christmas. Our first weekend Sydney was very very wet, so we wisely spent it shopping instead of sightseeing. Only purchasing essential items, of course. The second weekend we had together was much better in terms of weather, so on Saturday, we took ourselves off to Manly on the ferry. We had a lovely day in Manly, had lunch by the ocean, wandered around the shops and markets, lay on the beach and to top it all off, the sun was setting behind the Sydney harbour bridge as we got the ferry back to Circular Quay.
The following day, we had a wander around the botanical gardens, and then finished the day off with an hour or so at Luna Park. First on the ferris wheel, which was fun, but a little bit scary when they stop it to let people on and off when your cage is at the very top - swinging away in the breeze. Then we regressed to our teenage years and had a go on the dogem cars. I only managed to crash into Lisa once... she was just too quick for me!
