After a wonderful Christmas in Nelson with the Slaney family (a full post on that is forthcoming! :)) I went back to Sydney on the 30th of December so that I would be there for the fireworks on New Year's Eve. I met up with Saloni (from work) and we went in to town to meet up with some people that she'd met while travelling in Victoria over Christmas. The queues to get into the Park with a view of the bridge and the harbour were MASSIVE. But eventually we got in and picked a spot and camped out for 11 hours to wait for the fireworks. There was a family show of fireworks at 9pm and then the main event was a midnight. In total, there was about 25 minutes of fireworks... good value for AU$4million!

So that's one of my life's amitions ticked off the list... good day's work, I'd say! :)
