While were all in Hamilton for the Ireland V All Blacks match, Genny, Andrew and I had a go at hurling, under the expert tutelage of Trish and Paul Trainor. The concentration on my face is apparant, as I try to run with the sliotar on the hurley... I got about 8 feet so I did!
I can't remember exactly, but there's a pretty good chance that this one was a swing and a miss... many of them were...
Andrew got right into it, although he found it difficult to figure out whether he was a right-handed or left-handed hurler. Being from New Zealand, we suspected he was neither... but we may yet be proved wrong...
Only Gen can see the ball....
Theresa was happy just to watch us all make fools of ourselves (except for Trish and Paul, who actually knew what they were doing, of course...) .
