Fox Glacier 4th Jan 2006
Having already done a glacier hike over labour day weekend, I sent Genny and Denise off to do that by themselves while I took a leisurely stroll around lake Matheson. The girls had a good time (albiet a rather cold time) and were pretty ravenous for their dinner when they got back to the hostel. Apparently, there's nothing quite like a hike on a glaciar to work up a good appetite.

Try adding buckets and buckets and buckets of rain to the mixture as Mammy Murphy found out today! Gonna have to get me on a glacier one of these days.
