Weekend trip to the West Coast

Eunice, Owen and I took a trip to the West Coast at the weekend and we had a fantastic time. I've loads of pictures and stories, so keep watching this space and I'll have a proper update on that soon. No other mad news with me besides. Working away here as usual. This weekend will probably be a very quiet one considering all the activities we managed to pack into the last one (and they don't necessarily come cheap!) So I should have an opportunity to upload all my pictures then:)

Same old same old

Well, there’s been nothing much to report since my last update. I went surfing in the POURING rain there last Saturday. It was really good, we got right out the back and had a fantastic surf, but had to give up in the end ‘cos the rain was driving so hard that we could barely see! Then we went back to the surf shop to get changed and Trish made us all hot drinks… they went down a treat!
I’ve also been conned into being Treasurer for Albion Softball Club for the season. The lady who was originally doing it stepped down and my flatmate Maggie (who is president of the club) asked me to help them out and take the role, so how could I refuse? I don’t really know what I’ve gotten myself in for yet, but I’m sure I’ll find out over the next few weeks!
As well as this, I've been helping the softball club with fundraising at the rugby matches lately. This involves selling burgers and chips and hot-dogs and the like to the hungry fans at half time. Honestly, you’d think they’d eat before they come out. Whatever happened to the flask of tea and USA tin of ham sandwiches, that’s what I want to know?!
Lets see, what other newses do I have... oh yeah, MWH touch rugby is starting tomorrow evening. Lisa and I have signed up for the company team our first grading game is tomorrow. We've been warned that the objective is to loose this game so that we don't get put into too high a grade. Apparently, that's what happened last year and it was demoralising, to say the least, when the team proceded to loose all their games. But it will be different this year, this year we aim to be a big fish in a small pond... I'll let you all know how that works out.... :)
